Sebastián Jiménez & Raquel Makow
Sebastián Jiménez & Raquel Makow embody a tango where elegance speaks softly and emotion lives in the embrace.
Sebastián dances with the quiet confidence of the old milongueros of Buenos Aires—precise, grounded, deeply musical. World Champion at just 18, he carries not the rush of youth, but the cadencia and wisdom of the great maestros, where every step is tied to the orchestra and every movement has meaning.
Raquel has been immersed in the performing arts her entire life, training in ballet, jazz, and ballroom from the age of 10. At 15, she took her very first tango lesson at Salon Canning in Buenos Aires with her father and attended her first milonga at La Viruta — a magical, life-changing moment.
Together, they create a dance full of emotion — elegant, sensitive, and deeply connected to the music. Their movement feels like a true dialogue: every step is meaningful, every pause speaks, every embrace tells a story.
At our festival, Sebastián and Raquel will perform and guide dancers through Navigation lessons inspired by the traditional social tango of Buenos Aires—sharing the knowledge that allows couples to move naturally, respectfully, and musically on a crowded floor.
This is tango as it was lived: intimate, elegant, and real.
